Turning awareness into action

Our approach connected campaign messaging across multiple channels, giving audiences clear opportunities to discover LDBG, explore business start-up support and take their next steps.

During August and September, the LDBG website attracted 6,000 visitors, up 20% year on year. Unique visitors increased by 23%, while page views rose by 16%.

The dedicated Start Up September webpage also saw significant growth, with a 35.6% increase that demonstrated stronger interest in the campaign and the information available to aspiring business owners.

Crucially, engagement extended beyond campaign information. Traffic to the free business resources webpage increased during the campaign by 250% compared to a typical period.

By combining awareness-building content with practical resources, we helped audiences move beyond discovering the campaign to exploring information that could support their business planning.

Social media that delivered engagement

Social media played a central role in expanding the campaign’s reach and keeping business start-up support visible throughout September.

LinkedIn delivered particularly strong results. Engagement more than doubled, rising from an average of 4.5% in June and July to 10.2% during the campaign. Impressions increased by 82.47%, reposts grew by 120% and page views rose by 21.1%.

These results indicate that campaign content was not simply reaching audiences; it was encouraging them to interact and share information with their professional networks.

Facebook also contributed to the campaign’s momentum, recording a 33% increase in views and a 60.8% increase in interactions and engagement compared with June and July.

Across both platforms, an estimated 18,000–20,000 impressions helped extend the campaign’s visibility. Combined with stronger engagement, these results demonstrate the value of relevant content, consistent messaging and clear routes to further information.

Strengthening local business connections

Start Up September 2026 also brought together people in the local business community.

Working with Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, we helped connect the digital activity of the campaign with in person workshops and 1:1 support sessions, covering practical topics such as HR and finance, branding, social media, paid advertising, LinkedIn and Canva.

The campaign recorded 30 workshop attendees, providing opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their knowledge, build confidence and access practical guidance.

This partnership-led approach added an important dimension to the campaign. While digital marketing raises awareness and directs people towards relevant information, in-person sessions create opportunities to ask questions, learn new skills and connect with local support.

By combining digital activity with the face-to-face engagement, we helped make Start Up September more than a promotional campaign — connecting audiences with practical opportunities to explore business ownership.

Building on success

Start Up September 2026 demonstrates the impact of a joined-up marketing approach. Website traffic grew, campaign content attracted more visitors, interest in free resources increased significantly and social media engagement strengthened across both LinkedIn and Facebook.

Just as importantly, collaboration with Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce helped connect online awareness with practical support within the local business community.

For Let’s Do Marketing, the results provide a strong foundation for future campaigns: continue creating engaging content, promote useful resources and build partnerships that give aspiring entrepreneurs clear opportunities to take action.

More reach. Stronger engagement. More opportunities to take the next step.

Through strategic planning, coordinated digital marketing and stronger local partnerships, Let’s Do Marketing helped Let’s Do Business Group build momentum for Start Up September 2026 — connecting more people with the information, skills and support they need to explore starting a business.
